A New Beginning

It's time. The time most people have been waiting for their entire lives, time for high school. People have said it's the best time of their lives, others not so much. Now, high school is no walk in the park, I assure you. With honors classes, crowded halls, having classes with people you don't know, it can get very stressful and very uncomfortable pretty quickly. Your very first day of high school is the biggest day ever, for mainly one reason. The first day, you have the chance to reinvent yourself, to change your ways and become a better and improved you. If you were a flunking student who really didn't care about school back in middle school, then this is your chance to change that reputation. You have classes with people older than you, who have no idea who you are, what your past is, and what you were like. You get a new beginning, a fresh start, a clean slate. But be careful, because you don't want to create a person you're really not. That would defeat the whole purpose. High school is a chance for you to become the adult you want to be, don't screw it up. Lesson of the day: Cease new opportunities

A Smile Could Save A Life

Some consider a smile as a common courtesy, others a sign of happiness. I, on the other hand, consider it a way to greet someone, to show them that you care. There are some people who don't have people to smile at or anyone smiling at them. And that breaks my heart, because I was one of those people at one point. I was completely alone and nobody ever even had a trace of a grin on their face when I passed. So, I try to be the person who smiles at everyone. Lesson of the day: smile more, you never know what'll come from it

When I Really Need You...

Now, everyone loves their friends, and they're really important to all of us. But, how do you know if they're true friends? That's the question I will be answering for you today. A true friend has lived your best memories with you, not heard the stories, they call your parents mom or dad, you say you love them everyday or pretty damn near close. These arw just a few general answers. But the number one thing is that, under any circumstances, they'll be there for you, through thick and thin. Even you don't want them there, they insist, because they love you too much. That's a  true friend. Lesson of the day: Cherish your true/best friends as much as they do you

That Time has Come Again

As we all know, there are always going to be things in life that we don't want to do. But unfortunately, they still must be done. Now these things might come at certain times of a year. Such as maybe you have big state tests in the spring, and well, that season is fast approaching us once again. At this point, you know what they're like and what to expect, yet you still always get nervous and start to complain. But the fact of the matter is, you still have to take them no matter how nervous you are or how much you complain. So, might as well take on the challenge with a smile and positive thoughts, Since there's no getting out of it, might as well make the most out of the experience. Lesson of the day: If there's no getting out, put a smile on your face, good thoughts in your brain, and take it head on

Being Excluded

So have you ever been in a friendship circle where theres an odd amount of people? Well I am, and its well kind of awkward. The problem with these types of friendships is that 2 people usually tend to stick together and then there's the one person who always feels left out because the pair(s) are always together. That one person always feels excluded and like they don't really belong.  But, since they don't have anyone else, they just stick with the group. And unfortunately,  that one person gets used to it and never shows it because they fear losing that one group as well.
Lesson of the day: make sure everyone is included

Slow Down

So, most people seem to think that you can just rush through life and all its decisions.  But what you really need to do is slow down and really think about what you're doing. Such as how 8th graders are picking electives for high school right now. Stop and think if there are classes that are going to help you're future career and if not, then just go crazy and pick classes that seem fun. Another thing are those people that think they need to hold the fast forward button on life, like its commercial on TV.  No! Slow down and take some time to enjoy whats going on around you, otherwise you might miss put on some fun you wish you would have had. Lesson of the day: take time to enjoy things that matter

It's Always Nice to Have Friends

So, everyone goes into a dark place at some point in their life. Yesterday was my point. And well it was all of my friends showing their love and support that got me through it. Haters had truly taken over and had convinced me of the things they were saying. And I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for everyone yesterday. I love you guys so much and don't know what I would do without you. ♡ Lesson of the day: appreciate your friends, because they'll always be there for you

We'll Make It Through

Now, I understand that heartbreaks, bad grades, and all that is very, very tragic. But, what most of the world needs to understand is that it will get better. There is a calm after the storm of tears, panic attacks, and anxiety. You will eventually look back and say,"Wow, that wasn't really all that bad." And I know that bullying is worse, and you feel like you're being stabbed in the chest everytime someone even utters a negative comment with you're name involved. But just remember that one day, you're gonna do great things and show all those people a massive lesson. And one last thing, You'll make it through.
